Native New Yorker, Dominick Ciardiello, grew up in Queens. He enrolled at New York Technical College where he exercised his understandings of visual creativity through studies in architecture. While in college, he took a summer job with a broadcast rental department and developed an understanding of television camera technology and usage. He quickly adopted camera operation as his calling, and soon found himself with a production company working on everything from major network programming to sports to concerts. He moved on to a rewarding freelance relationship with the emerging Food Network. Dominick developed his own style for shooting food, aiding the channel in its growth.

Dominick flourished as both a field and studio camera operator working for various networks on documentary, talk and promo material. In 1999, he created Artistry & Vision productions with a strong commitment to creating the most beautiful and entertaining material possible. As a Director of Photography, he has enjoyed an ongoing association with some of the finest food programming in the world, including the PBS series "Lidia's Italy" (James Beard Award winner), and "Avec Eric" (Emmy Award Winner, James Beard Award Winner). Dominick's complete understanding of programming has in recent years extended itself into directing roles with projects including Food Network specials, "Fresh Food Fast With Emeril Lagasse", the second highest rated series on the Cooking Channel, and currently "Save My Son", broadcasting in late 2012.
